Login fails with correct login details

When attempting to login to the Android app, if the username and password are correct then error
'Text '0' could not be parsed at index 0'. Same error with both user/pass and API token. With incorrect credentials 'Received Invalid Handshake - Incorrect username or password' which is right.

Ampache server 7.4.0
Android Version 1.01-79-fdroid luci.sixsixsix.powerampache2.fdroid

I currently use the Substreamer app and that is working fine. Not sure if using same protocol or api though. I looked across the docs and couldn't find anything on what the error could be caused by.

sounds odd, is it possible for you to provide me with a temporary account for your ampache server? That would be the easier way for me to find out what's going on using the debugger of my IDE, and maybe fix the issue for users that are experiencing the same problem.
