Quote or Cost Estimate capability

I see that Inventree has a "Sales Order" function which is good for a live, active build project. But what I am hoping for is a quotation/estimate function for the process BEFORE it becomes an actual Sales Order. A line-by-line quotation system that pulls cost or pricing data from already-entered material items that I can print or email to customers. Does this type of function exist in Inventree?

This is not supported currently although there have been some discussions around this, both for PO and SO concepts.

This would require a reasonable amount of work to implement either as a first class feature or a plugin. With sufficient interest we could look at implementing this. Would you be interested in developing or sponsoring this?

Hello Oliver! I don't have the software development skills to join up with the development team. However if this feature ever entered a testing stage I'd be happy to help test and provide feedback. You helped me deploy Inventree previously and the experience went really well. Inventree is great and each release just improves everything so much. And can you give some more details on what sponsoring would involve?
