Does not center system speaker balance on MacOS Monterey #29

Reproduction

Device: MacBook Pro 14" M1 Pro
Note: Ensure no other speakers are connected. Only the default mac system speakers.

  1. Install with brew install --cask ballast
  2. Open app
  3. Purposefully offset the balance
  4. Observe that balance does not get re-centred.

Edit: Seems like this is to do with the Mac System Speakers. External devices are able to have balance updated correctly.

I saw issue #29, that does not seem to be the case when downloaded directly from Github.

Balance correction works fine on my M1 device running MacOS Monterey 12.2.1.
