Using the client with mouse and keyboard

This page explains how to use the OLS client with mouse and keyboard. The assumed version for this page is 0.9.6(beta).
[ | zoom all | changes the zoom level in such way that the view fits in the current window; |

] | zoom original | changes the zoom level to 1 (1 pixel = Ts = 1/Fs); |
- or _ | zoom out | zooms out with a factor of 2; |
+ or = | zoom in | zooms in with a factor of 2; |
ALT + 0/1..9 | go to cursor N | centers the view at cursor N (if defined); |
HOME | go to trigger | centers the view at trigger position; |
SHIFT + DELETE | clear all cursors | clears all defined cursors. |
SHIFT + ←/→ | smart jump cursor | centers the view on the next/previous cursor; |
CTRL + ←/→ | smart jump transition | centers the view on the next/previous signal transition in the channel the mouse is currently hovering over; |
ALT + ←/→ | smart jump annotation | centers the view on the next/previous annotation (if present) in the channel the mouse is currently hovering over; |
SHIFT + mouse wheel | force scroll horizontally | forces horizontal scrolling in the view. By default the mouse wheel will scroll vertically, unless no vertical scroll can be performed in which it will scroll horizontally. Using SHIFT allows you to enforce horizontal scrolling; |
CMD/CTRL + mouse wheel | zoom in/out | zooms in or out with a factor of 2, keeping the view stable at the current mouse position (dead center zooming); |
Left click + mouse drag | drag view | moves the view in the drag direction (both horizontally and vertically). Use ALT to force horizontal dragging only; use SHIFT + ALT to force vertical dragging only; |
Right click on channel label/cursor/signal | open context menu | opens up the context menu for the channel or cursor, providing access to additional functionality. |
Double click on channel label/cursor | edit properties | opens up the properties editor for a channel or cursor. |
