Continue ordered list on next page?

Is it possible (logically, preserving ol-li and setenumi) to have an enumerated list continue on the next page?

2. two

4. four

Ordered lists will continue across page boundaries in most output formats. (So just omit the ---. Pandoc has no syntax for a page break.)

You can use an example list (which will continue sequentially) -- but this is only good if you have just one continuous sequence for the whole slide show.

Simpler option: add {.allowframebreaks} as an attribute of the title that begins the first slide.

and I am compiling it with pandoc -f markdown_mmd+mark+raw_tex+smart+yaml_metadata_block -t beamer -s -o test.beamer.

Well markdown_mmd doesn't support this syntax for attributes.
Try adding +header_attributes.

the most intuitive way to address this would be to remember whether the previous slide ended with an ordered list, if so, keep the number, and if the next slide starts with an ordered list and a number that is one more, then assume we are continuing the list (i.e., setenumi). Anyone who wants to start a new list would just use '1. ' as the starting number. I don't know who difficult this would be to program, though.

I think I need to put together a one-page cribsheet that lists the set of available extensions / features and the required -f attributes to enable them.
