JUnit 5.12.0 does not introduce the junit-platform-launcher dependency

After upgrade from 5.11.4 to 5.12.0, the org.junit.platform:junit-platform-launcher dependency seems to be missing.
Is this intentional? After adding it - in my case, for Gradle - using testRuntimeOnly org.junit.platform:junit-platform-launcher:1.12.0, everything works as expected. Without this, I received:

org.junit.platform.commons.JUnitException: OutputDirectoryProvider not available; probably due to unaligned versions of the junit-platform-engine and junit-platform-launcher jars on the classpath/module path.

I couldn't find anything in the changelog, so maybe I missed something.

The User Guide has now also been updated to reflect the strong recommendation of adding a junit-platform-launcher dependency.
