GBIF key #4403
Comments
@dimasciput Please clarify if the GBIF Key is still needed when uploading taxa. thanks, |
So I did a test and uploaded NewPlecoptera without any GBIF keys, and the system found the links automatically (as they did in the past). SO @dimasciput I am assuming it is not necessary to include the GBIF key in the taxonomic upload file. However I think it found the GBIF key because the taxon already exists in the taxa table. When I checked NEMATOMORPHA, no GBIF keys had been added. So @schmikloi When there are no GBIF keys uploaded the best is to use the ![]() Then click Find GBIF ![]() Select the correct on: ![]() And Save The taxon should then have the GBIF ID ![]() I guess this would form part of the checking by the experts although it is quite timeconsuming @dimasciput Comments? |
Maybe you could add a quick step @dimasciput and include option here: GBIF Key - Search ![]() |
Vanessa has found a way on how to add the GBIF link to a dataset; but then, when uploading the file, the link should be recognized and implemented |
@schmikloi Please can you document and share this with me. Thanks |
I am still not clear whee I would get a GBIF key from or where I could upload it?
When I just uploaded the Ostracoda 7, I got a GBIF key for Darwinulidae (family) though I had not entered one;
but he keys that I had in the upload column "GBIF key" where not uploaded
please @helendallas, can you explain this to me?
