Building hidapi/windows project on visual studio 2010

Hi i am trying to build but got 100+ errors

could somebody help me to build it ?

i see problem with wchar_t ....

Please upgrade to a new version. This version is just too old.

You can use either VS2022 or VS2019. The community version is free and I am using them myself.

I tried 2013 it's ok.

my main project on 2010 and i want to use hid same for 2010... this is a cause.

Sorry but then you are on your own. VS2010 and VS2012 are no longer supported by Microsoft. VS2013 support will also end soon in 5 months.

HIDAPI native MSVC build system doesn't support MSVC2010, and no plans of adding it.
You have two options here:

1. Make your own small project to build HIDAPI. Some documentation how to do so: https://github.com/libusb/hidapi/blob/master/BUILD.md#embedding-hidapi-directly-into-your-source-tree
2. Generate MSVC 2010 project using CMake, and include it in your project. NOTE: generate project is not portable - you need to generate it each time you move around source/build dirs or change build environment.
