When trying to change my region and city when running cinnamon-settings calendar, the settings window is freezing.
Steps to reproduce
Open the date & time menu by clicking on the time on the toolbar:
and then clicking on "Date and Time Settings:
Alternatively, you can simply run the following from the terminal: cinnamon-settings calendar
The following menu will appear:
The bug occurs when I change Region to Canada and City to Eastern:
Initially, the window appears to be frozen, with the City not updating to the selected option:
Eventually it updates to the correct option, but the time does not change:
When I reproduce the bug by launching cinnamon-settings calendar from the terminal and then performing the above reproduction steps, I get the following output. The Traceback and error lines occur just before the City is updated to "Eastern".
(The time is still 14:39 even though it's 8:39 EST.)
Reopening the settings window, I can see my selection of Canada and Eastern has not been saved and has not taken effect.
The following youtube video depicts me reproducing the bug. It appears to be roughly 30 seconds before the error messages appear on my terminal: https://youtu.be/HsqnKojyd7g
Expected behavior
There should be no freezing when Eastern is clicked and the time should be updated to the correct time in EST. The selected region and city should be saved for when the Date and Time Settings is opened again.
