I confirm the problem, which I think must be rephrased as: 'Xviewer always stays in dark mode'. So it's specific to Xviewer.

Linux Mint Cinnamon 21.2, Xviewer 3.4.1.

Xviewer is always in dark mode, despite that I chose the Mint-Y-Sand theme for applications.

Expected behaviour, of course, is that it follows the applications theme setting.

Same here. This is bug. I just installed old version 3.2.4 where plugins works correctly. But in latest 3.4.1 it's always starts in dark mode if themes switch "Dark mode" sets to "Let application decide". This is annoying because you have to uncheck and check again checkbox in plugins menu or chose "Prefer light mode" in menu settings.

Almost exactly a year later, and the same problem still exists, despite going from xviewer 3.4.1 to 3.4.6. There is no way to disable dark mode, not even from the preferences and plugins.

This issue is really annoying if I prefer light theme in all applications.

Still present in 3.4.8.
