The version of CommentsPlus that's compatible with Visual Studio 2017-2019 uses the standard name CommentsPlus, while the 2022-compatible version is called CommentsPlus17.

Personally, I think this is a bit confusing and that some users will think the 17 refers to 2017, not the underlying VS 17.x version number. Perhaps one of the following options would be clearer:

  1. Suffix the old version with "(32-bit)" and use the standard name for the 2022 version (Open Command Line). I prefer this option.
  2. Suffix the new version with "2022" (Live Share 2022, Extension Manager 2022) or "(64-bit)" (Command Task Runner) and use the standard name for the old version. I don't love this method, but it's fairly common.
  3. Use the standard name for both listings (SlowCheetah, Edit Project)
