Why hereby?

To ensure compatibility and maintainability, language projects typically avoid introducing additional build tools. For instance, Python uses CMake, and Go even uses simpler shell scripts.

Since this is a Go project, using Go Module makes more sense. Why does it end up with Node and even another npm package?
