Python extension not working

Hello,
I am running vscode_server on remote linux server. My connection went down and vscode_server was trying to reconnect even an hour after the connection went back. So I had to kill vscode_server by sending SIGTERM, since then when I connected to vscode_server I was not able to run any python files thru vscode and jupyter notebook was not loading. So I deleted .vscode_server folder from the server and reinstalled vscode_server. Still, python extension is not working: When I open .py file then the extension does not start and every Python:* command (as Python : Select Interpreter) ends with command not found.

Could you please provide me guidance how to debug this problem? Thank you

Is the extension installed on the server?

It is, I did some further investigation and it seems, that the problem is in the extension host (check attached screenshot). I read thru the problems of other people and this seems to be quite unique. There was only one relevant issue (not yet solved) where they were suspecting wrong communication between vscode an extension host. I do not exactly know how is vscode working under the hood so I can not provide another insight. Any idea how to debug this would be appreciated.

This is unfortunately now outside my expertise. Would you mind opening an issue at https://github.com/Microsoft/vscode-remote-release/ where the remote extensions are managed?
