We don't have a way to know the state of the terminal after VS Code is restarted. This is a feature that VS Code is working on. Once that is available we can look into re-using existing terminals. For now this is a technical limitation. |

Hi,
I'm searching the answer in old discussion but i did not find.
I'm using Python extension v2025.0
When I open VSCode, Python project environment are correct start, etc, All fine and nice.
But, why when I run Python file VSCode open a new terminal? It's posible to run in the open terminal? I don´t want new run Python terminal everytime that I start VSCode.
I'm using terminal with History restored
Thanks a lot!
