Testing microsoft/vscode-jupyter#16577

Used a dev container. Steps:

  • new empty local folder
  • open in vscode
  • add dev container files
  • use default 'python3' container
  • reopen folder in devcontainer
  • new notebook, add a cell, run --> env picker appears
  • follow flow as described in TPI
  • 🐛 prompted to install ipykernel
