Screen brightness on lock screen

Hello all, when my laptop (MacBook Pro 2015, Arch Linux, Hyprland, ML4W) is locked, and screen brightness is 0, I'm not able to change the brightness using my keyboard. It does work when logged in.

As I am new here I just wanna make sure if this is the right place to address it, so that it can be fixed in an update.

Also curious if this is a common issue, or just specific for my setup.
