SDDM wallpaper stays black

So I have a problem with the SDDM wallpaper: it's always black. I just re-did the setup and chose the "install SDDM" option, to try to re-install it, and at the beginning it had the default wallpaper, but as soon s I try to change it (with the "set wallpaper for SDDM" option) it just turns black. Anybody has a solution to this?

I had the same issue, i don't know what is causing this but i know you have to change it manually.

I will try and replicate the issue, in the meantime try moving your image out of the home folder.

Actually I don't have it there. I have one copy in ~/Wallpaper-Bank/Wallpapers, which is where I have all my wallpapers, and another where you said to put it in order to make it work manually:

/usr/share/sddm/themes/sequoia/backgrounds

Okay, i tried it out and it worked without issues. The script was successful. I used the minimal-beton-building.jpg. I even tried a custom wallpaper from wallhaven and it showed no issues.

I really don't know what it could be... I'll come back to this another day and see if I'm able to solve it. Thank you for taking some time to test anyway
