Content scrolling issues:

  • If I try to scroll with the mouse wheel in a tab, nothing happens.
  • Neither in the text tab, nor in the notes list tab, nor in the folders/tags tab.
  • In fact, the scroll bar in the text tab only appears when I use page-up/page-down but disappears after a few moments. So it's almost impossible to use it even with drag-scrollbar!

Notes: Version: 2.3.1+g0b13300

System:

  • Ubuntu 24.04.1 LTS
  • AMD Ryzen™ 7 4800H with Radeon™ Graphics × 16
  • Graphics: Nvidia GeForce GTX 1650 Ti
  • Windowing System: X11
  • Gnome Version: 46
  • Linux Kernel: 6.8.0.52-generic

Can you try with the appimage?

I noticed that the problem disappears if I restart the system. Obviously it is not a solution, I just saw it by chance. But apparently after a while the scrolling stops working again.

I also saw an error in the syslog:
2025-02-05T10:37:50.354424+02:00 Legion notes_notes.desktop[1610753]: Qt: Session management error: Could not open network socket

  • And yes, with Appimage is working without any problems!

You can ignore that, it's unrelated to the issue you're having.

How did you install Notes? Did you use the official deb package, Snap or Flatpak?

Also, would it be possible for you to make a screen recording showing the problem, and then upload it here? Thanks.
