What is your suggestion?

There is currently in obsidian search the functionality to use < and > operators to compare number properties. This also works for date properties, altho it seems to be an unintentional side effect rather than a designed feature, since certain characters (like :) will break it.

This is currently undocumented, when I would assume it would be mentionned here.
