On a 64 core machine, output often looks like this:

Note the repeated lines.
I'm not sure what causes this amount of logspew but afaict nothing is reverting the sysctls that bpftune changes, so this looks entirely internal to bpftune.

hmm, it's possible this arises due to multiple CPUs sending buffer size-related events near-simultaneously. the event handling is pretty simple, just a queue so perhaps we need to make sure we do a better job of handling multiple attempted updates .

I think it is because bpftune doesn't set it at all, try to:
echo 'net.ipv4.tcp_rmem=4096 131072 7864320' >> /etc/sysctl.conf && sysctl -p
and log will disappear or value of max will change (this one: 7864320) set it again with new bigger value. Done - no more flooding.

It might be bug in bftune - why it suggest something without doing it?

Haven't been able to reproduce this one at my end yet; if possible can you see if you can reproduce it with debug output and attach logs; i.e. running

sudo bpftune -ds > /tmp/bpftune.log 2>&1
or similar. thank you!
