Siemens Simcenter to OpenRadioss

Hello all,
I am using NX and Simcenter to create an assembly impact, and I am struggling to create the correct input for OpenRadioss. Siemens can provide .dat format (or dtf, or blk), and I cannot find any tool adapted for a .dat to .rad conversion. I have tried to set one up on python using chat GPT, with not much success. Below is a test file I have set up with a load on a fixed plate (as I don't have the real file yet) just to understand the file format (converted to .txt for github).
Would you have any suggestion?

I think Simcenter can export .k or .key files ( ls-dyna format)

This format is usable directly with Radioss ( with some exceptions)

Maybe you can try this ?

Thanks a lot for your input ; after checking, I was indeed able to set a .k file from Simcenter. After trying it directly as an input to OpenRadioss, I am faced with a new challenge : the OpenRadioss simulation does not start and does not produce any output files.

The .out file contains 2 errors :

After submitting these errors and context to AI, it indicates that the .k file "does not request any animation output, so OpenRadioss does not generate a .anim file". More precisely:
"The .k file does not contain the necessary cards to generate .anim files, namely:
No *DATABASE_BINARY_D3PLOT card (LS-DYNA)
No /ANIM/... card (Radioss)
OpenRadioss is able to map cards like *MAT, *SECTION, *ELEMENT, etc., to its own entities (/MAT/LAW1, /PROP/TYPE14, etc.), but post-processing cards are not present."

So I still have a mishap in the process, it looks like it might be from my .k file edition.
Would you have some more valuable advice by any chance ?

Hello Lavil24,
if your company have the license to export the Ls-dyna file .k or .key, for sure you can export also the abaqus file and convert it with the inp2 rad script.
If your .k file doesn't request any animation output you can import the file inside LS-Prepost, that is free, and complete it with the additional Ls-Dyna card that, after, Openradioss can read
If you don't have solved your issue you can try with this 2 option.

In my company we have NX with Nx Nastran without the no-linear solutions, in order to use OpenRadioss, implicit and explicit, i have solve wiyh reading the documentation very well, hand made the starter and the engine file and by creating a script file with the AI NX2Rad for the mesh.
