NPLTC usage in DATABASE_BINARY_D3PLOT #3654
-
Hi All, I am interested in running the LS-DYNA keyword file on OpenRadioss. When I defined NPLTC instead of DT in the DATABASE_BINARY_D3PLOT definition in LS-PrePost, I got the following error on OpenRadioss:
When I defined DT instead of NPLTC, I did not receive any errors and my simulation was completed without any problems. Am I missing something? Do I need to define an additional special keyword to run a simulation by defining NPLTC in OpenRadioss? I ran the cube_results.k file in the LS-DYNA Suite R14 Student\documentation\tutorial\1.Getting_Started directory, both with DT defined by default and with NPLTC defined instead of DT (I used the value NPLTC=10 so that DT=ENDTIM/NPLTC=0.1). This was the only modification I made in the .k file. I also verify that both versions of the keyword file work fine in LS-DYNA. Many thanks for your help. Kind regards. |

OpenRadioss does not support anything except the 'DT' option currently, see https://2025.help.altair.com/2025.1/hwsolvers/rad/topics/solvers/rad/database_binary_d3plot_lsdyna_r.htm for supported DYNA keyword features, I will make a request to support NPLTC in future |
