Have pnpm install --config.target_arch=... properly check pnpm's store

Hi,

I have an Electron app for which I am trying to get x64 and arm64 binaries on Windows. On my Windows machine, I originally did pnpm install to install my dependencies, including electron. Even though I am using Windows on ARM, it installed the x64 version of electron. I guess I can live with that.

However, I then emptied my node_modules folder and did pnpm install --config.target_arch=arm64 thinking that it would install the arm64 version of electron. Well, it did not. It just reinstalled the x64 version.

Knowing that pnpm caches things, I decided to prune its store (using pnpm store prune) and try again and... sure enough, I now have the arm64 version of electron.

Still, I really wish I didn't have to prune the pnpm's store and that, instead, pnpm would properly check that whatever is in the store does indeed correspond to the target architecture that I want.

Ok, I am not sure what I did to eventually get the arm64 version of electron, but I am not able to get it anymore by calling pnpm store prune and then pnpm install --config.target_arch=arm64 ! 🤯

I have also tried to manually delete pnpm's store, but to no avail. Same when setting the environment variable npm_config_target_arch to arm64!
