Hi guys.
is ulatencyd still alive? Or maybe it was merged to linux core? :)

It sure looks abandoned. The last commit was 6 months ago, and that was apparently the most recent commit since 2014.

As far I can tell it's in low maintinence mode, I think it started dying when systemd broke cgroups hierarchy and nobody fixed it since (unfortunatedly).

@tpruzina Well, with cgroup-v2, it's predefined hierarhy and subtree management delegation, coexistance with systemd without cludges can be achieved. Yet it still requires some coding in ulatencyd

well, the project is quite bitrotten these days and would need some serious love from a maintainer :)
I'm much more interested in rust these days and would consider a rewrite but I'm not willing to do it alone as I have some other projects require a lot of time.

I tried to clean up the bitrott but it's more work then anticipated.

Looks cool, i would like to help, but i'm getting started on almost everything, i have interest on rust too, looks nice

If you let me in, i want to help anyway, i do google-fu because i read (wikis/forums/github-projects/others-code) around Internet

I'm realizing that it's more cool learn by doing than just read or focus only on university

I have a little more time to focus on something, it would be nice to get involved :^)

edit: i'm here to learn

Cheers

@poelzi I would also be interested in helping with a rewrite sounds like fun, so you can count me in along with @51v4n for help with a rewrite in rust.
