I've just noticed the very convenient
__replace__
method on dataclasses. It's got all the right type hinting when using pyright (python 3.13). However,__replace__
is conspicuously missing from the dataclass documentation; is it supposed to be used directly, or to provide type hinting in future for some other function, e.g.,copy.replace
ordataclasses.replace
