Piper we need female voices trained in Portuguese

With so many people developing voices in AI training, it's unbelievable that we don't have a free female voice for Piper in Portuguese on github. Is anyone training only male voices? We need female voices in Portuguese. Could someone embrace this cause? I don't know how to do it, but a lot of people do. Thanks

Well, italian voices sucks a lot too. I find astonishing nobody is able to improve on this! I'm sure Piper is huge and very much followed worldwide, so I can't figure out why we have such situation.

I was writing a detailed reply but my english is too bad so the shorter version is:

A decent small sized amatourish dataset require:

• a decent micropohone (50+us$ / 100+€)
• days for planning
• days for the recordings
• at least one day for the postprocessing

The "voices that sucks" we have are actually the effort of people that have done the recordings with bad microphones and/or people that made the dataset with the avaiable voices from free sources (like librivox and such).

If you know anyone who is willing to donate about 2-3 hours of recording time and has a good microphone, I'd be happy to train a voice 🙂
For Portuguese specifically, we may be able to pay for studio time too. But we need volunteers willing to donate their voice data to the public domain.
