Describe the bug

The app has the same issues on MacOS, Windows and Android: when I create a new note, the toolbar is grayed out and the UI becomes unresponsive. Reinstalled all multiple times, always with the same issues.

To reproduce

  1. Open Saber, "New note".
  2. Try to draw or type.

Expected behavior

Expected to see text or lines, nothing happens. The app freezes instead.

Saber version

0.25.4 (MacOS), 0.25.5 (Windows and Android)

Device

  • Device: Macbook Pro M1

  • OS: MacOS 15.4

  • Device: Galaxy Book 2 360

  • OS: Windows 11 23H2

  • Device: Samsung Galaxy S22

  • OS: Android 14

On windows there is a bug storing nextcloud credentials. Fix is #1431 . On Android should everything work correct.

Thanks, looks like I failed to see this. I updated my issue to report only the freezing of the app.

Still freezing on Windows and MacOS

Same with me, and I have no clue about how to see what the issue is to report. Where can I get logs or something like that?

On Windows I decided to go back to 0.25.0 and go up from there. The app was working fine until version 0.25.3 and froze when adding a new note on 0.25.4. The only change that caught my layman eyes was the flutter update to 3.29, I don't know if this could have broken something on Windows.

Ok, I think there's an issue with theming on Windows. I installed 0.25.5, went to settings and switched the theme to Ubuntu, and now I can use the app. @adil192 could you chime in some ideas?

well, dur. I just found that the settings screen has a log viewer for the app. However I couldn't figure out how to copy the text:
