Summary

Hi all,

In short: the locations of the visitors aren't being shown.

Setup: Synology NAS --> Container Manager (docker) --> shlink + shlink-web-client on bridge network. Nginx Proxy Manager to manage external traffic.

• I've set ENABLE_PERIODIC_VISIT_LOCATE=true
• I can see that the location lookup is being run every hour on the hour in the logs
• I've set the API key for the geo-db and I can see it's being used on the Maxmind dashboard ("last used"). The logs also tell me: "GeoLite2 db file is up to date."
• I've set the following config in Nginx Proxy Manager:

proxy_set_header Host $host;
proxy_set_header X-Real-IP $remote_addr;
proxy_set_header X-Forwarded-For $proxy_add_x_forwarded_for;
proxy_set_header X-Forwarded-Host $host;
proxy_set_header X-Forwarded-Proto $scheme;

But despite this, all visits have country and city "unknown" next to them.

When I take a peek in the database, I can see that the docker bridge network gateway IP (172.17.0.1) is logged for every visit. The Nginx proxy probably forwards the correct headers, but they are maybe dropped by Docker? But I'd think Docker would blindly forward this.

Can I check the headers that Shlink is receiving? Is there something else I'm missing?
