Pause forever (instead of bed clearing)

I have found that there are times when bed clearing just won't do, especially in cases where the print is pretty flat. What I'd like to be able to do is have an option to instead have it pause forever, wait for a human to come and clear the bed, then press a button to say it's time to continue. I need this pause to last forever (until I press the continue button) because sometimes I sleep or even leave the house ;) .
What is happening now is the pause seems to time-out after about 20 minutes, and it just starts printing on it's own.
