Use of serif font for code in docs menu

The documentation pages have code in the menu. See "Special elements" for example:

Also many items under "Runes" and "Template syntax" I could consider code.

I think this would look more legible using the monospace font:

it looks really weird to mix and match

You mean mix and match monospace font with the serif font? True, but code in a serif also looks weird. If it's going to look weird either way, I'd suggest the trade off in weirdness should favour code legibility.
