How to migrate config[content] to new config? For monorepo with shared folders

Hi there, I'm just updating my stack to tailwind@4 and would love to fully migrate to the new config style.

But one thing I can't fully get to work is to precisely configure the new content detection for tree-shaking.

This is my project structur

sites/
├─ page-a.example.org/
│  ├─ page.tsx
│  ├─ styles.css
├─ page-b.example.org/
│  ├─ page.tsx
│  ├─ styles.css
├─ (common)/
│  ├─ SharedComponent.tsx

When using @tailwindcss/cli I would then run it once for page-a and once for page-b. Configuring the --cwd to be the dir of that page.

But then SharedComponent.tsx is not picked up as it's outside of --cwd
Or I use sites/ as cwd, then my styles include all the content from all pages.

For now I use the @tailwindcss/cli --cwd page-a.example.org and then have @config "./tailwind.config.js"; which configures the legacy content option to also include the (common)/ folder.

Moving forward I would love to know how this would work without a js-config.

Maybe allowing multiple --cwd on the CLI?
