Stuck on tailwindcss v4.0.7

Hope somebody can help me, for some reason one project is stuck in v4.0.7, and npx @tailwindcss/cli .... never asks to upgrade, but ALL other projects show me v4.0.9 (latest) and if a new version comes out, it asks me to upgrade, what can be wrong, I thought CLI was one for all/global?

no node_modules folder on the project

Hey! Try npx @tailwindcss/cli@latest.

thanks @adamwathan , it did ask to update but when I try npx @tailwindcss/cli -i ./xxx -o ./xxx --w is still in v4.0.7
and the output file says /*! tailwindcss v4.0.7 | MIT License | https://tailwindcss.com */
