Is it expected that --modifier(length) doesn't work?

Does it only work when used like [length]?

Does tailwind not accept it because it starts with a number?

I was going to create this issue on tailwindlabs/tailwindcss.com but, I have questions...

• Explain what each of integer, length and percentage is.
  • integer: (♾️, −3, −2, −1), 0, (1, 2, 3, ♾️).
  • percentage: 0%, (1%, 2%, 3%, ♾️).
    • I was expecting negative values to work, but they don't.
  • length: http://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Web/CSS/length

I just figured out that all of these things are related to CSS Data types? Is that correct? But, only a few of them work? For example this doesn't work.

So, negative values don't work for percentage. Same with line-style and:
