pyslim.individual_parents was implemented before SLiM started using the parents column of the individual tables. Perhaps it is not needed any more? That would be nice, since it's kinda gross and the testing is fragile.

Or (not knowing anything about this topic really) the implementation of it could just shift over to using the parents column, preserving backward compatibility but getting rid of the grossness and testing problems? Just spitballing, I have no idea. :->
