Stock alert

Hi

What would be the equivalent event or step where a stock alert could be generated if it reaches a certain value and send an email? I would assume it should be after an order is placed but cant find anything built in (unless ive missed this) but considering im using the Checkout plugin too i would like to know the correct process for this?

Perhaps the OrderFinalizedNotification?

I have emailed them but i dont seem to get a reply (been over a week). Im currently trialling this product and need to see what comes default out of the box and what would need some manual intervention.

Ok, I'l raise this internally but in the meantime, yes, OrderFinalizedNotification does sound like the notification event you would want to hook in to.

It will be up to you to implement, but you should be able to grab the items from the order and use the IStockService to check the current stock levels of them and if they are below your threshold, you can then fire off an email.

Yes that helps, is it possible to reuse your email sending facility (so creating a HTML view in the CMS) and then using your email sending service to send an email or do I have to implement this myself?

It is yes. You can setup a custom email template. and then you can use the IEmailTemplateService which has a Send method on it to send a given template passing in the relevant model.
