Must systemctl restart sound.target after closing studio to fix garbled audio #525

Acknowledgement of preliminary instructions

  • I have read the preliminary instructions, and I am certain that my problem has not already been addressed.

What problem did you encounter?

Audio is garbled while and after running Vinegar and then Studio

Workarounds:

  • After closing studio with "Stop Studio or similar", run:
    sudo systemctl restart sound.target

System information

* Vinegar: v1.8.1 (2af7c7f8e9831556197228e5eb06878135395daa)
* Distro: GNOME 47 (Flatpak runtime)
* Kernel: 6.12.15-200.fc41.x86_64
* Wine: wine-9.0
* Installation: flatpak
* Cards:
  * Card 0: nvidia 0000:01:00.0 /sys/class/drm/card0
  * Card 1: i915 0000:00:02.0 /sys/class/drm/card1

WINE settings:

  • I've tried Windows Version: "Windows 10" or "Windows 11"

This is a greater issue with your system, not a consequence of using Vinegar. View logs.
