macOS build fails to run without homebrew installed

It looks like macOS builds aren't fully static, since when attempting to run hetzner-k3s on a mac without homebrew installed results in an error with loading dynamic library:

I see there's a note in Crystal docs about static builds not being supported on macOS, so does it mean that only alternative is to build from source?

(I am holding the grudge against homebrew, as it messed up my system more than once 😄)

Hi,

Correct, static binaries are not supported on macOS. If you don't want to use Homebrew then you will have to install the relevant dependencies somehow. Everybody uses Homebrew these days so that's what's supported out of the box for now. I'll convert this into a discussion since it seems more approproate.
